We have now been back for a week, but are still reminiscing about the wonderful time we had on Cape Verde. Thank you once again for the great organisation and execution of the trip. All the guides and drivers were great, all the hotels, transfers and flights worked out perfectly. We would love to go again straight away to get to know the other islands, but unfortunately we have to go back to work. So thank you again for everything, we will recommend Aventura to others and will use you again if we need to.

We’ve now been back in Hamburg for a week and have settled in again to some extent. But we miss the cheerful people, the colourful markets, the sun, the blue sea …

We had a great trip with many wonderful experiences and a lot of new impressions. Each island had its own face for us and we found the selection or combination very successful. The excursions with the guides were always great fun and very informative. We particularly enjoyed the guided tour of Mindelo, Delisio spoke with so much passion that he made us completely enthusiastic about his country.

We felt very well looked after by Aventura the whole time, everything worked reliably in terms of organisation. Many thanks for that! The cancelled flight cost us a lot of nerves, but Bestfly is responsible for that and Aventura helped us a lot.

The accommodation was always centrally located, restaurants, cafés etc. were always within easy walking distance. We liked the fact that they were small, privately run houses. However, we found the standard of the accommodation in Mindelo to be borderline (general condition, shower doors hanging out, faulty fridge, magazine basket from 2016, no regular room service, etc.). Perhaps Aventura should take another look at the rooms and make suggestions for improvement. But the view was fantastic!

In conclusion, we had a wonderful time and enjoyed every day of the trip. 😊

Cape Verde got us! We’re already planning for next year!

The country has caught us wholeheartedly and aventura has made a huge contribution to this (when we were asked by hosts, tour guides and other insiders who we had planned our trip with and the word “Stefan” had not yet been spoken, the exclamation “he’s the best” was already heard). We wholeheartedly agree with this. Everything went really well, and the “crisis management” around the postponed flight from Mindelo to Boavista was cool, clear and worked really well.

The Hotel Santa Maria in Praia was a great location for arriving in Cabo Verde, you could sit on the terrace for hours and gather impressions. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The tour in Cidade Velha was great, the guide spoke excellent English and gave us a lot of local knowledge about all possible aspects of Cape Verdean life. A great introduction at the right time. The accommodation in Tarrafal was also in exactly the right location, the room was great.

The location in Mindelo was also excellent, with lots of music just round the corner and everything within easy reach, even at night. The island tour was nice and interesting, a very nice driver who was able to tell us much more than just the sightseeing. And the city tour in Mindelo was also great – here, too, we learnt much more than just facts and figures.

Everything on Santo Antão was also great, especially Aldeia Manga and Mar Tranquilidade. Some of the journeys and transfers were breathtaking and at least exciting and beautiful. We did a few hikes there on our own. However, the 6 a.m. drive from Tarrafal to Porto Santo on the back of an aluminium truck is no longer a must at our age – we’ve done it often enough in the rest of Africa. And the Guesthouse Orquidea in Sal Rei was also amazing, it fits in well with Aldeia Manga and Mar Tranquilidade. Super nice hosts, great location, a pity that we were able to be there one day less than planned. The island tour was again very nice and we were grateful to have booked with aventura and not with tui. The food was not really good here, otherwise we were always delighted, especially at “O Curral”. However, the only glitch happened on the international return flight – it was much too early 😉! We’ll just have to come back again, see above.
The bottom line is that Cabo Verde is one of the most beautiful countries of the many we know, which is first and foremost due to the incredibly nice people – it’s simply a pleasure to be there.

It was a wonderful hiking holiday. Now, a week after our return, it still seems strange to us that you can see so much in just over two weeks. We were on Santiago, Fogo (amazing!), Sao Vicente and most of the time on Santo Antao. Everything went like clockwork, the accommodation was all good, the people were friendly and the landscapes were of course impressive. A big compliment to aventura, the agency was always available before and during the trip. We have already recommended you and the islands to many different friends.

I would like to thank you once again for the perfect organisation of our trip to Cape Verde.

Praia:
The hotel was not quite as pleasing as in a big city: the handle to the entrance door was broken and was only repaired after the second request – the air conditioning was dripping (Mrs Grümdken did not want me to let her know (it was room 6)).
But: the room was spacious, equipped with everything I needed and very quiet. Breakfast was absolutely ok for me.
Guide: the young man was extremely well educated and was able to answer historical and economic questions. He has a subtle sense of humour 🙂
He was extremely helpful when it came to using ATMs for the first time and getting a working SIM card. He supported Mrs Gründken very confidently and in line with her needs when she visited the stores.
Driver: very friendly, he also provided a lot of information, which I was very pleased about. He always complied with Mrs Gründken’s request for lots of photo stops. And thanks again for the birthday surprise: Birgit was really moved to tears.

Fogo:
Hotel: The exterior and interior of the hotel and the rooms are sure to make every tourist’s heart beat faster. The service is rather satisfactory.
Guide and driver: The driver skilfully kept a low profile and drove gently and safely along the mountain road. Our guide was truly knowledgeable about volcanism and Fogo in particular.
He guided us well through the day. He was also able to fulfil Birgit’s request for a larger amount of coffee (it was Saturday) with a recognisable effort.
The guide during the evening walk was friendly and, in my opinion, entertaining.

Sao Vicente:
Hotel: simply fantastic, everything was just right:)))
Driver: Augusto was extremely attentive (I mean that in a positive way) and also sorted out a small breakdown on the day of the crossing wonderfully.
Guide walk: I was beginning to know the history of Cape Verde (and had also read up on the special features of the history of Sao Vicente and Mindelo), so I let my eyes wander a little during the walk (which was very nice)
Guide longer tour: he was very good at telling little stories that shed wonderful light on historical or other contexts. He is the only one of the guides who has mastered the art of small talk, which certainly makes him quite popular. I liked him too.
Thanks again for allowing us the short visit to the office :))).

Santo Antao:
Hotel: very modern inside, the Belgian owner is extremely (and successfully) concerned about the well-being of her guests. For a European like Birgit, it was the best breakfast of the trip.
Felix and driver: This driver also stayed in the background and drove very confidently over the difficult roads, Felix naturally delighted us with his unfamiliar German and insider knowledge presented with a touch of irony (sugar cane is not only worthwhile, but also does little work). The meal at his parents’ was really good. Birgit was delighted to receive more packets of coffee. (Meanwhile I enjoyed the scenery).
Driver guide the next day: he was a bit more taciturn than the other guides (but he was also a driver). He managed to persuade Birgit to RUN to the next photo motif (the houses stuck to the mountain) !!!!!, which earned me the only unguided (Bavarian: she didn’t complain), guide-free walk of the holiday. Yippee.
On the rest of the round trip, I was treated to two wonderful valleys. Birgit worked hard and took over 130 pictures during the trip.
Lunch was as simple as it was delicious.

Sal:
Hotel: exactly as in Spain
Excursion: as always, a knowledgeable guide/driver. Birgit loved the bath in the salt pans, I was more interested in the shacks of the former workers and the transport system for the salt. (Wage slavery is a topic that interests me a lot, my favourite dance song is about it).

So: your programme was actually able to more than satisfy two holiday types as different as Mrs Gründken and myself. I will recommend you at any time.

For me it was the first and probably only long-distance holiday of my life. And I am very grateful to Birgit that she wanted to go to Cape Verde. It was the perfect destination for me. And if I were younger, I would come again, but with different company and a different programme. I reckon they would be able to advise me well then too … ;)))

Time goes by so quickly, our journey is over and the cold and snow are back. 😊
It was a great enrichment to get to know the country and its people a little better. We could do with a little more of the serenity of the people here (no stress).
I would like to thank you once again for the great organisation. Everything worked out wonderfully. We were always picked up on time and our guides were lovely people and did a great job. We really felt very comfortable with each of them.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t do the city tour in Mindelo as we had spent the night at the airport due to the strike and only arrived at the hotel at 7.00 am. That was a shame.
The accommodation all had its own charm and we really liked it. However, I have to exclude the Apart Hotel in Mindelo, which is unfortunately getting on in years and could do with a lot of renovation. I don’t see this as a negative, but it can’t compete with the others.
The excursions were all great, we saw a lot of the islands, but ultimately it was exhausting being on tour all the time and practically living out of an unfolded suitcase 😊
That’s why we enjoyed the last four days on Boa Vista to the full in this beautiful setting. All in all, a great holiday.

What we missed on the walking tour “The Old Town – Cidade Velha” was the Casa Café Minel and our packed lunches. We just couldn’t find it. I was also glad to have pre-planned the tours on Komoot and downloaded them offline. That was really helpful on every tour

First of all, I would like to thank you very much for a great and impressive holiday.
All the transfers went very smoothly and the accommodation was brilliant – simple but relatively central (category B). Only in Mindelo was I allocated a different room after I pointed out the faulty air conditioning (pieces of ice were thrown onto my bed).

Friendliness and helpfulness are omnipresent in Cape Verde. All guides are optimally prepared for the respective routes and are indispensable as constant companions. We had a lot of fun together …

The contact with the locals, the spark was immediately ignited, was the be-all and end-all for me. This resulted in several private invitations and friendships. Strangely enough, I was also told on this trip that I was very different from the other tourists! Perhaps this is due to my primary interest in the people and their problems, daily work and wishes. In any case, I thoroughly enjoyed these contacts.

The sequence of island visits was well organised – “Sal” is of course a purely tourist island. I was very shocked to see how many more “bed castles” are being built there. Simply awful!!! My favourite island is definitely “Santo Antao”, especially the hike to Fontainhas was very impressive. I would love to spend the rest of my life here. All the islands have their own character – simply beautiful.

Suggestion for improvement for this tour:
Not to tackle the “Pico” climb first thing the next morning if you don’t arrive at Casa Marisa until the evening the day before.

I have recommended your agency to several German tourists with a clear conscience, as I felt “in good hands”, which certainly gave me more security.

We are back home, and our conclusion first: we thoroughly enjoyed our trip 😊 It was the first time for both of us not traveling independently and organizing everything ourselves, and we felt very well taken care of by Aventura. Many thanks for your organization and the information beforehand, and also a heartfelt thank you to all the excellent guides we had during the tours.

The start in Praia and Cidade Velha was good for a first hike, a rather manageable walk down to the sea through the valley. The old capital and the themes of colonialism and slave trade were a great introduction for us.

Fogo was very impressive, with the (sunken as well as new) villages up in Cha… The ascent of Pico was a tough challenge for us non-hikers, but the effort was absolutely worth it. Likewise, the descent back to the sea was very beautiful but also very strenuous for us due to the poor trails.

The rest day afterward in Sao Filipe was much needed. Here is a small critical remark: the descriptions of the hikes, especially on Fogo, would be better from our perspective if the indications of the expected efforts and difficulty levels were more prominently highlighted. Perhaps it’s also due to our way of reading.

We managed the program every day, but for us, it was borderline on Fogo (yet still incredibly beautiful). We also heard from other hikers that they were somewhat surprised by the almost alpine tours.

Both guides on Fogo were excellent 😊 The rest day in Sao Filipe, where everything shuts down on Sundays and after 6 PM, could potentially be better placed in Mindelo, where there are more things to do and see.

Santo Antao: very enjoyable days for us, great tours, superb guide, everything was fantastic. It was also challenging for us, but manageable (and more on our level compared to the two days at Pico de Fogo). The “mix” of the different environments during these 4 days on Santo Antao was just right.

Mindelo was lovely (we had already spent nearly a week there a few years ago). The days to relax on Maio were exactly what we needed after the first 2 weeks 😊

It’s hard to believe that all the shuttles worked perfectly, the hotels/guesthouses were all more than adequate, and all the guides were top-notch! So, overall, we have only positive feedback, thank you very much for your planning and support!

Back from our truly excellent vacation, we extend a heartfelt thank you to Josefina and your team at aventura. Everything was simply perfect: good, comprehensive, and punctual information – nice, friendly, competent, and always punctual guides/drivers – accommodation with breakfast was okay – overall, the organization of the entire trip was superb and we loved it! We were also fortunate to witness two carnival parades.

Definitely recommended!

One more tip: When making bank transfers, please consider that banks may deduct fees from the transfer when sending money outside the EU. Consequently, the full invoiced amount may not be received at the destination. Therefore, it might be worth considering making a single payment if the trip is not too far in the future.

I would like to thank you for this wonderful trip. Everything went well (except for the luggage with TAP). We met many friendly people, and even in this relatively short time, we were able to experience the differences and beauties of each island. All the drivers and guides were very kind and eager to explain a lot to us. It was truly enjoyable to be on the road with them. The accommodations were all in great locations. It would have been nice to have a room with a sea view in Santo Antao, but perhaps none were available. Otherwise, the owners were very nice, and the atmosphere was pleasant. In Mindelo, at Sodade, some things are in need of renovation, but on our second stay, we were able to change rooms, and thanks to the super kind chef and manager, we got tickets for the Carnaval grandstand. A small tip: for trips during this time, it might be good to organize grandstand tickets in advance. We experienced and enjoyed everything up close. After this quite busy program, we were truly ready for Boa Vista. Orquidea is a fantastic accommodation, and I am glad we switched to the top floor after two days. The fantastic view from the large balcony is simply incredible.

Overall, it was a very beautiful journey. I believe these lovely islands have not seen the last of us.

I don’t need to tell you how beautiful Cape Verde is; you know it even better! Thank you for your organization! All transfers, flights, ferries, etc., worked flawlessly (and on time!), and we felt very comfortable in all the accommodations.

A big thank you and greetings to our guides; we were positively surprised that it was just the two of us with them. They provided us with a wealth of knowledge, fun, calmness, humor, and spontaneity, giving us diverse insights into the islands, their landscapes, culture, agriculture, leisure activities, educational facilities, and everything else we wanted to know.

Our favorite landscape was Santo Antão. At the beginning of the trip, we planned to get a small tattoo as a souvenir of the island that impressed us the most. On the last day of the trip, we followed through with it in a small studio on Sal, and now the outline of Santo Antão adorns a small part of our bodies…

Our initial concerns about whether the residents would welcome us as tourists or see us as intrusive outsiders were not confirmed. Wherever we went, we were warmly, kindly, and smilingly welcomed. My 19-year-old son made connections with young adults his age everywhere, playing soccer, chilling, making music, and maintaining contact through social media.

The feeling of “sodade,” the song we heard every evening in different variations from street musicians, did not arise in us… it’s just so easy; you just have to come back!

We will definitely fly back and then visit the places and things we didn’t get to see (such as Tarrafal on Santiago or, of course, Fogo and São Nicolau). In our suitcase, we’ll include jerseys for the many soccer players and football fan merchandise (of course, from BVB; apparently, the club is known by almost everyone there, and we also met quite a few people wearing black and yellow sports attire).

Unfortunately, our vacation in Cape Verde is already in the past. I would like to thank you for the perfect organization and the always prompt and detailed responses to our emails. Everything worked smoothly on Cape Verde as well. The hike showed us many facets of the landscape and the pleasant, authentic population. We enjoyed it very much. The carnival time was also an experience. We were just surprised that no cruise ships docked during this time, only one on Sunday. Of course, we considered this as very advantageous.

I have one very small suggestion. The information stated that we would need a sleeping bag for the night in Figueiras. Well, I needed my sleeping bag every day. Firstly, the French beds are a matter of taste 🙂 and secondly, there often was only a thin sheet, even in higher elevations. So, from my point of view, a sleeping bag is highly recommended.

Now that I’ve been back for a few days, it’s time for a little feedback on my trip.
I have a lot of Brazilian relatives and therefore I know that Brazilian times are not identical with German times, so I thought it would be the same on Cape Verde….. far from it!!! The drivers (with one exception: picking me up at the airport, I had to call) and the guides were super punctual, even arriving ahead of time. One guide was late once, so he let me know at the hotel. I was really surprised.
As for the guides, I could ask questions upon questions, they always answered them .
I was completely satisfied with the whole trip: I was completely satisfied with the entire trip: organisation, planning, itinerary, etc. and have recommended you to my friends.

Everyday life has us back again and I finally get around to writing a short note to thank you for the wonderful holiday in Cape Verde!
It was fantastic and we learned a lot about the country and its people. The excursions were very well organised and I was thrilled by the punctuality, which you don’t really expect in these countries 😊
I am very excited to tell you about our trip to Cape Verde and will definitely recommend you highly.
The descriptions and suggestions were all very good and helpful. There was one small thing I would have liked: the guides were almost all very nice, helpful and English-speaking, I would have liked to see their names on the documents. Then it would be easier to address them, I’m not good at remembering names … Beto was no. 1 for us in two respects – first guide and very pleasant and super friendly!
In this sense, all the best for you and the team in the new year! Keep up the good work and maybe we’ll meet again sometime, even if only by e-mail 😊

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your team on site. Everything went very well. All the people who picked us up, took care of us, the hotel reservations etc., everyone was always super punctual and well informed. Informed us when we had to be where etc..

It was really very well organised. Even when we complained about the one hotel, it was taken up and fixed straight away without any problems. However, we have to say about the hotel in Mindelo: you should really consider whether you want to stay there. I think that people tend to pay a bit more and prefer to stay in our second hotel, which you then booked for us. The hotel was then very good. Thank you very much for that.

We also have to point out that everywhere in the hotels was very clean. We generally noticed that no matter where we were, in the middle of nowhere or in the cities, it was very clean everywhere.

It was an unforgettable trip and we would like to thank you again for the very good support.

It’s been a week since we returned home. We would like to thank you again for the wonderful trip. Everything went perfectly – flights, transfers, accommodations, and meals. The guides in Praia (Betto) and Fogo (Eurico) were the best; they are truly top-notch.

The islands are very different and interesting, especially geologically. The accommodations, especially the casas and with families, were very beautiful and welcoming. The best food was at Casa Pedrio in Coculi. They even made breakfast at 7 o’clock every day. The lunch at Joana’s house was fantastic, and the hospitality was equally great.

Thanks again for the fantastic wine tasting on our wedding anniversary. The wine is really good. It’s a shame that it’s not available for purchase in Germany.

We have one suggestion: 2 nights in Sao Filipe might not be necessary. After the hike from the crater to the town, we only needed half a day. We spent the rest of the day sightseeing in the city. Perhaps it would be better to fly out the following day around noon and spend an extra day somewhere else, or maybe offer an additional day on the crater for the hike to the new volcanic craters from 2014. Alternatively, one could spend an extra day on Santiago to explore the central part of the island. It’s just a suggestion.

We can only recommend this trip to others.

I hope the toothpaste tubes have arrived at your office in Mindelo. As discussed, I handed them to the driver.

Unfortunately, everyday life has already taken us back. But we still have many wonderful memories of our trip to Cape Verde. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you once again for your competent advice and preparation as well as for the smooth implementation of this trip. Of course, we would also like to thank all the guides and drivers who brought us closer to these islands. We also liked the location and facilities of the hotels you selected. TAP and the check-in at Lisbon airport on our return to Europe are not recommendable, at least not at the moment.
However, we will definitely recommend your travel agency highly and will certainly use it again if we get a longing for Cape Verde (which is not unlikely, as we are also passionate hikers).

Thank you very much for the great trip and the support on site.
It was really a dream to experience the country and its people.
Our guide was the best thing that could have happened to us. Always in a good mood, well informed, courteous, helpful, motivating….Without him the trip would have been only half as good. And I would like to give a special mention to Casa Maciano in Norte. Super friendly, all wishes (as far as they could be fulfilled) implemented immediately. Cordial. Really great
Just like Osvaldo and his wife. Everything is really great. The Praia Confort Inn can take a leaf out of their book. We had to leave for the airport at 7am, it was not even possible to get a coffee beforehand (and they have electricity and water, Giovanna in Norte managed that without anything at any time).
You should also revise the description of the trip a bit: “very simple conditions with shared bathroom”. A Central European can’t imagine that you just roll out a mattress on the floor without a blanket and pillow and that the shared bathroom is a bucket with cold water… We had the packing list, but it wasn’t clear where you need what…. But that’s just a “small remark
We are really super happy that we did the trip exactly the way we did.

Now that we’re back from Cabo Verde, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to you and your team, also on behalf of my wife.

You have facilitated a journey that was not only incredibly relaxing for us but also profoundly educational. We had a multitude of experiences, impressions, and learning opportunities, all thanks to your selection of locations, accommodations, and almost perfectly organized “island hopping.” Since we had no prior experience with Cape Verde, we were completely reliant on your expertise and advice, and we put our trust in you. We knew of your company solely from the internet, but our gut feeling that led us to choose you was not wrong.

As Mark Twain so eloquently put it, we were like innocents abroad. Well, not entirely, as we are familiar with island worlds. After visiting the Azores, we went even further out this time; we were very, very curious about what awaited us. You can read a lot, but the experience usually surpasses everything. This was no exception, and it was supported by your professionalism in dealing with our expressed wishes.

Besides the landscapes and the people, we were particularly impressed by how seamlessly the transfers and flights were coordinated. The excursions and outings you offered were exactly to our liking, very informative, and well-timed. And the guides were not only friendly and dedicated but also really good; they engaged with us and patiently answered all our questions.

Allow me to provide a little note here. When people of our age from beyond the Elbe book with you, please make them aware that the guides do not speak German but English. In the former GDR, only a few were fortunate enough to learn English or French. I had this opportunity and subsequently kept up with it. As a result, I could serve as an interpreter, and it worked well and was enjoyable.

That should be it as a small feedback and a big thank you to you. Naturally, we will recommend you to our friends and acquaintances with the utmost confidence.

In a nutshell: The holiday was awesome! We had a great time on the islands. The guides, with whom it was great fun to go on the hikes, also contributed to this.

We wanted to give you a little feedback on the hotels. The upgrade in São Filipe (Colonial Guesthouse) was so worth it. It was wonderfully quiet there and you can relax very well at the small pool in the inner courtyard. The hotel in Mindelo is unfortunately a bit outdated. I know, the national category is simply different, but I think there are other good alternatives. And the guesthouse in Vila das Pombas is pretty rocky. Especially for two nights and a day at leisure, we would have preferred a nicer hotel.

Now that we are back from our holiday, I would like to give you a short feedback about our trip. Our holiday was really great and we are totally enthusiastic about Cape Verde and the super beautiful landscape. Everything worked out wonderfully with the flights and on the islands and was perfectly organised by you – thank you very much for that!

I would especially like to mention our excursion on the first day on Santo Antão, which became a very special day not only because of the special nature experience, but also because of our incredibly nice and competent guide Joacir. Many drone shots were taken on this day and Joacir and the driver took care of the photo stops individually for us.

Even though it’s been far too long since my holiday, I still want to thank you again for a great trip. Everything really worked out very well – transfers, accommodation, ferries etc. – and the people were also very nice. I was particularly pleased with Lenyn. He did a very good job. If I ever go to Cape Verde again, I will only do it with Lenyn!

We are now already one week home from our beautiful trip. Thank you very much for the good organisation, the nice accommodations and the perfectly organised transfers. We especially enjoyed our stay on the island of Fogo with the two hiking tours. Mustafa and Marisa are very warm and nice hosts.
It was also nice on Santo Antao, where we also did two hikes on our own.
Sal has a beautiful sandy beach, but is much more touristy than the other islands. The Hotel Morabeza was good, they gave us a large suite with a terrace and sea view. All in all, it was a beautiful experience, the landscape, the people, the music – everything was perfect.

We have been back for a few days now and I wanted to report back. Except for the small mishap with the main luggage of the TAP, we enjoyed the holiday very much, the diverse fascinating landscapes, the nice people, the music … Regarding drivers, guides and hotels, everything worked out very well. Many thanks for the good organisation!
I have two comments on the roadbooks, which I will share with you separately. Regarding the restaurants in Ponta do Sol: we can highly recommend the Caleta restaurant (where we were on New Year’s Eve), but also the Musica do Mar restaurant next door.

We would like to thank you for the great organisation. Every appointment was kept on time. We liked the way the trip was put together. The drivers and guides were friendly and competent, the hotels lovingly selected. With one exception, everything was very nice and clean. We only had problems in the hotel “Oasis Porto Grande” in Mindelo. The first impression of the hotel was also very nice but unfortunately the rooms, especially the floors were dirty and sticky. During our first stay, the cleanliness was still good enough, but during our second stay (only one night) we had the impression that the beds were made but the rooms were not cleaned. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful holiday. We will especially recommend your agency and wish you and your staff all the best and much success.

Now we have been back in Germany for 3 weeks, our photos are sorted and the many impressions processed.
Thanks to you and your organisation we had a very nice round trip. All transfers and excursions worked perfectly. The commitment of our driver-guide was also special, as he took very good care of us and my husband after he fell on the beach of Tarrafal and suffered a severe bleeding head injury, which was treated in hospital. On the day of our onward journey to Fogo, we were also scheduled to stop at the hospital to have the injury checked. We were very grateful for this care.

Back in Germany we would like to thank you again for the great organisation of our hiking trip. We took home many impressions and wonderful experiences.
Our two hiking guides Vanderley on Santo Antão and Valdir on Fogo made a special contribution to this. We laughed and talked a lot with each other, so that we had the impression of being “very close”. Both had a wonderful way of bringing us closer to their homeland. We returned home safe and sound. Here is a short feedback:
Everything went well, the transfers on time, the accommodation according to expectations and the guides reliable.
Especially Jason on Fogo remains pleasantly in our memories. His last trekking route through agriculture in the north was also an insight into rural life, having been related to almost all the farmers in some way. Only the trek on Santiago by roadbook to the Botanical Garden (unfortunately closed) can be improved. The path was really hard to find and quite overgrown. With a GPX track we probably would have saved ourselves the scratch. But at least the driver was at the Botanical Garden 1 hour earlier and we didn’t have to wait long in the heat with no place to stop.

We have been back for such a long time now and I wanted to get in touch again. Unfortunately, everyday life caught up with us again far too quickly.
We would like to thank you once again for the organisation and support during our trip. We enjoyed it very much and everything worked out very well. The most beautiful places for us were Santo Antão and, of course, Fogo. The volcano was impressive, especially from above. We have already seen many volcanoes, all of them are somewhat similar and yet each one is unique. But we also enjoyed the fantastic landscapes and the friendliness of the people. All in all, a very nice, relaxing holiday exactly to our taste. In this sense, many thanks, also to our colleagues.

Our holiday in Cape Verde is unfortunately already over. It was super nice and everything worked out wonderfully. The three islands I didn’t know yet (Santiago, Fogo and Santo Antão) exceeded my expectations. And one can only dream of the current Corona figures on the islands in this country. Let’s hope that the numbers there stay as low as they are. Aventura can only be recommended and that’s what I will do!

We arrived well at Orchidea on Boavista this afternoon, all journeys, transfers and flights have worked out perfectly so far. The days on Santo Antão were simply outstanding, the guide Vanderlei gave us a lot of impressions, the hike towards Cruzinha was a terrific experience, the Kasa Tambla perfect, the stay unfortunately too short.
