Yes we know people with resale property and with land for sale but are not allowed to name them here, as they are supposed to advertise. Unfortunately the best deals are never advertised. Try asking Adrian or Louise if you can find them on the property sites.

You are certainly playing roulette. A Marxist-Leninist inclined government that needs tourists and aid payments to survive. Property developers that are under-financed. A poorly functioning legal system. These are the black squares. The red are the climate and the proximity even without any direct flights for the foreseeable future. Even if you just go out and look around for a while you can buy at great prices.

There is so much hot air coming from Santiago that you’d only need a few small fans to light everything like an Xmas tree.

Sadly some of the Irish seem to be easily taken for a ride – perhaps because of the view that prices only go up. But if an Irishman is already charging 4 or 5 times the market rate – what chance is there of selling again at a profit? I thought that some of the Italian properties were wildly overpriced but I realised I had seen nothing.

The man who is believed to have organised it has two German sheherds or maybe Austrian shepherds. Knowing the owners of two of the dogs killed, I fear their lives may be short too.

There is a new decompression chamber on Sal so that woukld be a good place for diving. There are already 5 or 6 divers organising trips but there is plenty of demand and lots of sites to see.

As on most of the islands there are almost no wild birds bigger than a sparrow and the chickens are all in freezer cabinets, this could be the safest place to be.

Some of the residents of Murdeira are still suing your pal Fonseca and after two years do not have a conclusive judgement. That probably is just like Portugal but proves the point. Buy through the British Isles, where the law works unless you are fluent in Italian or Portuguese legal rhetoric and prepared to wait for amanha.

The rental market right now is mainly to Italians so not much help, as yet. Do not take any notice of the gurantees, as if they do not let, they will not pay you and you may never know that they have let. Everyone coming from Ireland and UK is coming out to buy property, so they will be staying in their own place eventually. Income tax in Cape Verde is 20% but there is no double tax treaty with Ireland so you could end up paying twice.

We are one of the major tour operators. We cannot use them even if they were to put on a flight simply becauase they never reply. Forget all this nonsense and wait for serious people to get involved. It will happen but not yet and probably not from Manchester.
