    Hello Daniel

The local paper today mentions a Golf project and development of Mindelo. Does this have the financing do you know or is it just an idea ? I hope those in charge of planning if it goes ahead have more vision than those previously . I do think some of the beauty of Mindelo was taken away by Pont [?]Aqua due to its location obliterating the once wonderful views of the bay one used to have whilst walking around the town. Also I hope there is a move away from the small scale piecemeal mainly ITalian residential projects. The size of the island means one or two larger projects rather.than many uncoordinated small ones would me more beneficial.

I have not seen any evidence anywhere that the legal system is corrupt. Just that the courts do not have enough employees so it takes too long to get to court. If I have missed something my aplogies and I stand corrected. However headlines of a newspaper recently translated to corruption in the police force . Enough to put Cape V in a different light. Lets just hope someone is doing something about it.

Flights are increasing all the.time but I agree are too expensive.

We are very happy with our purchase on a smaller development but bought mainly as a holiday home and long term investment . I can sympathise completely with those who had other experiences.

Paul Can you not get a cheap flight to LOndon ? At least then you wouldnt have hotel costs. Also did you check Lisbon to Mindelo in September as it goes down then.

At last – not too bad prices (still could be better) and good flight times for flights London to Sao Vicente by TAP Portugal

    EG 9 SEP London – Lisbon 1150 1430
    Lisbn Sao Vicente 1540 1745

    20 SEP Sao Vicente Lisbon 1100 1655
    Lisbon London 1840 2125

    GBP 509

Are flight times advertised at local times or UK times ? 2 hours from Lisbon to Cape Verde does not seem correct ?

Sambala refutes accusations of being under suspicion of swindling and washing of capital

The company Sambala Investimentos denied allegations made by the newspaper A Week, that his Administration would be under suspicion of fraud, tax evasion and money laundering, as was reported by a weekly newspaper of the square.
“The Sambala strange that a newspaper of national public reputation has become completely unfounded allegations, made by a group that has acted anonymously”, holds the Chair of the Board of Directors of Sambala, Jonathan Grepne.

Still the one who said that the group named by AGA-Action Against Grepne (action against Grepne), cited by the newspaper as a source, that has an interest in undermining the good name and reputation of the company.

“Long time ago that the AGA group has threatened to divulge highly defamatory news detrimental to the business of Sambala what eventually materialize, despite having been asked to identify themselves to enter into dialogue with a view to the settlement of the problems that has been rejected, given his preference in moving forward with a campaign of defamation”.

Jonathan Grepne tells, that deal with this resistance Sambala enlisted in the United Kingdom investigation agency in order to break the anonymity of the AGA and the collection of elements to trigger legal action for defamation, libel and damages, but found that the website of AGA was suspended after the publication of the said report.

“It is surprising that the newspaper has stated that the disclosed information was provided by the group, known as AGA, given that immediately after the publication of the article, this group issued a public statement, denying any link to that article or any contact with the Week, reiterating that he never accused the Sambala any crime of tax evasion or money laundering.”
About the alleged delay in delivery of buildings the Vice-President of the Sambala Village, Dominic Mc Glynn, confirms the successful, explaining that this is due to the crisis in the real estate sector which affected the tourist company since late 2007, with the slump continues in sales.

“Since Since 2007 that the company suffered a breach of the international market, and this had a major impact on the real estate industries. Hence why the administration of Sambala had to renegotiate the construction contracts, “explains to ensure that despite unfavourable business environment since the Sambala is steadfast in fulfilment of its commitments to investors.

Although Dominic Mc Glynn admitted that the company, due to a new strategy and the need to focus on component construction, had to undertake a process of collective dismissal of workers, which ended in March. But it also guarantees, the Vice President that the company is in final stages of settling payment of all compensation due.

Finally Dominic ensures that at the moment there is no salary arrears.

Celestino Carvalh0 – I bet your flights are really full. If you would like to know why there is such great demand – the 5 P’s of marketing are

P – Price – Customers must know what they are
P – People – Customers do actually exist but you cannot find them as they cannot find you
P – Promotion – Have you heard of this word ?
P – Physical – Customers must actually be able to physically buy your product
P – Places – Where do you fly to ?

What a grand job TACV’s marketing director is doing. I bet everyone knew you could already fly from Madrid to Sal and I bet everyone knows how to find the prices and book the flights (apart from through the search engines which come up with routes that take 19 hours and cost #1500 and where you cannot specify a date range so you give up after two tries). How anyone could disagree with privatisation ……..

Two weeks ago I emailed TACV in three different countries asking for prices and timetables (Netherlands, Portugal and France). I have not received one reply. The people ruuning this company should be held accountable to the citizens they are causing losses instead of potentail profits to.
