I’m wondering whether to take my wetsuit to CV for a holiday 21 December – 5 January, in anticipation of finding a dive centre. But I don’t like diving in cold water (ie less than about 24 degrees…)

Can anyone advise on likely sea temperatures?

    Thanks

It’s around 23 degrees at the moment, so bring your wet suit or of course hire one.

    Thank you both, very helpful!

Not done much diving then !, as after 15 mtr its bloody freezin anywhere…30 mtrs and your nuts dissapear. If your going diving hire one out there sam as fins ect, there is some good diving and snorkling too…

Hi Louise, Did you do any diving on your trip to CV? What was it like?
As part of a cruise I will be spending two days in CV but will be unlikely to get a chance to check out diving.
I will be in Dakar for a day – any advice on things to do or see?
