    Trombo,

Glad to hear from you. It sounds like you are in a similar situation to myself but unfortunately we cannot hire a solicitor to take things any further. OA offered us an apartment in Salina Seas too, but our situation has now changed, and we are unable now to invest any more money in the venture. OA have broken their side of the contract and feel that they should reimburse us now that the project isn’t going ahead. I also don’t trust the company as far as I could throw them! They have not communicated with me for well over a year now after I had said that their offer was unacceptable. Myself and my husband lost several thousand £’s when Red Hot Homes ran away with our monies and the whole Cape Verde thing is just unbelievable as far as I’m concerned. I don’t know where to go next, as by the looks of it, even if we could afford a solicitor, then they don’t seem to be doing much anyway! Surely OA can’t be allowed to get away with taking several thousand pounds of our hard earned cash after agreeing a contract, to then break the contract, keep our money and then not communicate with us?!!!

Good to see the development will be finished. I bought in Salinasand over the road and have been told it will not be built. They are dragging their feet about returning cash. Seems to be a view that they can wait until the completion date (next year) has lapsed before they pay out. Was offered a place in Salinasea but no reduction on the price there.

    Hi Trombo

What did you decide to do about the above? I’m in the same situation and am keen to hear if there have been any developments.

I’m an investor who has been ‘had’ by Red Hot Homes during the purchase of an apartment in Salina Sands. Now I’m having big problems with Oasis Atlantico. They refuse to communicate at all with me after I declined their offer of an apartment in Salina Seas. I know they are in breach of contract and wondered if any other investors out there are having the same problems as me? I have not got the finances to be able to pursue them and press further charges, but if anyone is in the same position I wondered about a group of investors joining forces to pursue the case?

Solicitor has been hopelessly slow in responding to anything, but reckons we may have to litigate to get my cash back. It seems we cannot start that until next month when the completion date is passed, even though it has been clear for a year or so that they were not going to build.

You will see from the earlier posts that, via the colicitor, they offered me on of the apartments in Sea which I declined. Have you or anyone dealt directly with OA and do you think I might be better going direct as my solicitor is not filling me with confidence and is asking for money to recover my cash, a I have ionly paid for conveyencing apparantly?
