    Hi Graham

I would also like to thank you for organising the meeting last Saturday, it was very informative and really good to meet other buyers. Everyone seemed very nice. Looking forward to the next one! Hope you and your family hae a lovely Christmas and Happy New Year.

    Hi

Could anyone tell me the dates for the manchester meeting as I would like to attend, it would also be good to meet other buyers. I have bought on Ficus, does anyone have any idea when this block will be finished?

    Hi

I would like to come to the party, I’m a Man United girl and love a good party. High Wire I have been to Mojacar, I have friends that live there. I was over there at the begining of September and had a great time. Have you ever been to a bar run by a British couple, its about a 20 minute drive from Mojacar and they play live music on a Sunday afternoon. They sell good food and the place gets packed. The bands were mainly rock bands, which isn’t usually my thing but the atmosphere was great and a brill way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

    Hi

Has anybody bought furniture from villapac as I have and have read on other forums that they have gone bust. I have been up to their showroom in Bolton and was told by a neighbouring shop that they moved out over 2 months ago. I don’t seem to be able to find out any official information and was wondering if anyone on the forum has any info.[:(]

    Thanks

We have a 2 bed apartment and after weighing all the pros and cons of the tecnicil package we decided to go for it, if we could offset the furniture against the rental yield. Apparently though they will only do this if you have a studio or a 1 bed apartment. How unfair is this? It now means we would have to take out an extra 20,000e on top of the mortgage, We’re now back to the drawing board looking around at alternative furniture packages. Has anyone else found themselves in this position[:(]

    Hi

I’ve bought a 2 bed appartment on Ficus, has anyone else? We should all keep each other informed about furniture ect, I suppose we dont need to worry just yet as it wont be finished for a while. I was over in Sal last November and they hadn’t really srarted, the site looked huge though. Did ayone get a receipt for their first payments? We didn’t. Bought through Topa and haven’t had any updates for months.

    Hi

There is another website, obviously not as good as this one called capeverdeportal. On this site there are quite up to date photos of some of the developments including villa verde. It does look like progression is slow but there are cranes there, which is an improvement to when I visited the site last November. I know someone who is in Sal at the moment who will email me some photos of the site when they return next week. Hope this helps.

    Hi

I have bought on Villa Verde and have paid 50% so far, is this where everyone else is up too????. We bought through an agency, a guy had dropped out of the purchase so we took it over. I was under the impression that we paid the remaining 50% on completion. Better get my reading glasses on and check the contract.

    Hi

Nearly forgot, if you go to the salt mines, make sure you wear some form of footwear that you can wear in the water. The salt underneath your feet is like walking on rough diamonds, don’t say I didn’t warn ya!

    Hi

I stayed at the Riu last November and was very impressed. It has two big pool areas as well as a gym etc, not that I ever used it. Its right on the beach and has plenty of activities on the beach such as canoes, fishing, volley ball, also sun loungers and a beach bar. You can also hire quads if your a little more adventuress. I went on a day drip to the salt mines and the blue eye which included lunch, not badly priced but dont be expecting the same standard lunch as you get in the Riu.
The dress code in the restaurant is pretty casual, you don’t need to dress up but wouldn’t look out of place if you did, just wear what your comfortable with. Any way have a great time!

I was out in Sal last November, stayed at the Riu. The weather was perfect, a slight breeze which was needed on the beech as it was so hot. Have to be careful not to burn so slap on the sun protection.
