I note however that your greeting and best wishes are directed to the people of Cape Verde rather than from them, but would like to think that your greetings also extend to the very many people who have invested their savings and placed their trust in the probity and the goodwill of the authorities in Cape Verde to act in accordance with internationally recognized standards of professional ethics and who still hope that their initial confidence in Cape Verde is not misplaced.
I hope that Father Christmas delivers to Cape Verde a happy new year replete with newly discovered business and banking ethics, resplendent with best practice and goodwill of the sort we here in the UK aspire to, and in many respects achieve.
In this way Cape Verde will continue to attract the investment it needs from not only large corporations and enterprises, but individual investors of modest incomes and means.
