Hi, got back in the early hours this morning. There was NO Internet or mobile coverage across the islands due to a trawler cutting through the communication cable. Maria asked us not to use the lifts as there was no way of reaching the engineer in case of breakdown, she also thought service as normal by today but the Thompson reps at the airport thought it would be about five days. For one anyone waiting for a reply, you are unlikely to get one due to a valid reason! It caused chaos for the checking in desks, all details had to be hand written and if you didn’t have a pre-booked seat (us) it was a Sleazy Jet free for all once on board.
Not at all happy to be back in cold, grey England!
