I notice that Cape Verde have moved up to 45th in this years index with a score of 5.1 out of 10 with Ireland are 14th with a score of 8 and the UK in 20th with a score of 7.6, Another small step in the right direction !

Cape Verde ranks #46 on the corruption perception index (Transparency International, the global coalition against corruption) in a total of 180 countries in the year 2009.
It ranks even better then many European countries, beeing of lower rank for example Italy(#63), Poland(#49), Bulgaria(#71), Greece(#71) and ranks between the best 3 African countries !
