One of the most impressiv trees you can find in Cape Verde, is a 500 year old kapok tree on the island of Santiago.
It is about 40 metres high and during some seasons, it doesn’t wear leaves. Then it looks dead, but suddenly greening comes back and the tree provides cover for many animals, especially for birds.Ariminum[attachment=0:3a4qtjsg]Poilón green.jpg[/attachment:3a4qtjsg]
