A few years ago sales agents and lawyers advised their clients that buying a property in Cape Verde was as safe as buying one in Portugal. Now, after the crooked developers are getting away with murder and the contracts are not worth the paper they are written on the British Foreign Office has advised caution when buying property in CV due to the slow justice/non-existence justice system, broken promises and broken rental guarantees. They also advise that you report suspected crooks trying to glean more out of investors to the FSA... ... e#property
