Post subject:  Can't dive from Praia??!

I'm going next week to Praia for work, andI booked three extra days for some diving, since my hotel (Praiamar) was supposed to provide this service.

Now it turns out they don't offer diving any longer. I believe travelling to Tarrafal every day is not an option (I want 3 days of relax, not stress), so... any other option in Praia? :(

Many thanks

Hallo Maurizio,

unfortunately there is no other option for diving in Praia, and when you arrive and see the city, you will know why.

Praia is not really clean and also the beaches are not recommendable to swim or to dive.

To go to Tarrafal is an option, but it is stressful, to go and return every day from Praia to Tarrafal.

I'd prefer to do other activities of leisure, like visiting interesting areas, e.g. Ribeira Grande de Santiago ("Cidade Velha")to see the fortress and other impressive things or to go by Aluguer to the north (Serra Malagueta) for trecking.

You can also go to Tarrafal and if you stay there over night, it is more relaxing, as to return at the same day.

I wish you interesting new experiences. :)

Thanks Ariminum,
indeed, I'm here, and I see the point... :(

Yep, I bet a Cidade Velha and Serra Malagueta are the best options...

Hello nehaali,

on the top of this page, you can find the button "TRAVEL".

Inside there you will find proofed proposals of also little hotels and guesthouses.

I wish you many interesting days and experiences on the islands. :)
