Me and the wife are looking at a possible holiday to Cape Verde in mid October. We will be coming from London. Does anybody have any recommendations?
We have never been before. What's the diving like? Any information would be appreciated.

Hello andyrae1971,

its a good choice, if you travel to Cape Verde islands. This beautiful country is yet untroubled by mass tourism although you can find the comfort of diving bases and other sportific activities.
I wish you and your wife agreeable holidays. :P

Hello Andy,

welcome to the forum !
For diving I recommend definitely Sal island.
You may want to book a package holiday on Sal island (please have a look here for package holidays on Sal Island) and then you can choose your best diving option on place in Santa Maria.

Hi Andyrae1971,

I have been diving several times off the coast of Sal and I have dived extensivly both in the UK and in many other countries. The diving from Sal is very good with a nice range of marine life to see with some species specific to Cape Verde. A few wrecks to see also one deliberately sunk. Type of diving can vary and sites can accomomadate the novice to the very experianced dependant upon where you go and weather conditions at the time. I would recommend Manta Diving as the owner is qualified to National Instructor (BSAC Level).
