Hello jean 1,

Normally all luggage goes directly to Sal, only hand-luggage and your baby  must be taken out of the plane. The baggage will be brought by the stuff of the airport to the next plane, which will bring you to Sal.

Hello jean1,

If time is enough between the flights, I can advice you to go to town centre of Lisbon. It is not fare from the airport an it is absolutely worth to visit. It is really an interesting "filling of time" and makes the time shorter before the connecting flight.
I did it often and I did never regret. :D

Thankyou david we have always purchased it in Sal before when we have gone from Manchester direct. It just said on one site that if you were going via Portugal you would not be allowed to board without a visa.It just sent me into panic mode.Jean
